So we have Weather and Climate... but are they the same thing? No, no they are not. But they are both super important to how the geosphere is shaped. In this episode of Crash Course Kids, Sabrina chats with us about the differences between Weather and Climate. | Why is my weather app sometimes wrong? Well it has a lot to do with wind. Jet Streams, air cells, the shape and movement of the Earth... there are a lot of things that make weather a little unpredictable. In this episode of Crash Course Kids, Sabrina talks to us about how Ocean Currents actually work with Jet Streams to move weather around. |

I learned a lot from these videos. The weather is what a place is like for a short time because weather can change in a few hours. Climate is what a place is like for a long time. I also learned about jets streams. A jet stream is a thin band strong air currents traveling around the Earth.

I learned that without jet streams and ocean currents, most of our earth would be uninhabitable since the equator would be really hot and the poles very cold. I also learned that some factors of the weather are temperature, humidity, wind speed, and directions.

Wow Justin - strong scientific points about the importance of the jet stream!

I learned that though weather channels aren't always right you have to cut them some slack because it is really hard to predict weather. This is because things like jet streams move in really weird pattern. One of the other things that cause weather are water currents, and though the deep water currents move in an easy to predict pattern the surface ones are almost impossible to predict.
