I never thought that the titanic didn't sink from the iceberg itself. Who knew that hot fire burned the ship for 3 weeks. John Smith is to blame. Some people also say that it is never bad to be to careful. I agree with them because a bunch of people lost their life from that ship. I wonder how those 8 people died. Did they drop heavy equipment on themselves or something. Nothing is unsinkable. If something is, please reply to me. I will find a way to prove you wrong. I also wonder how people come up with these names. The watertight door are the safest part because they could have survived for 6 hours. John Smith made some questionable decisions. There must have been a lot of pollution.

I like that there is a lot of different stories on why the ship sunk. But I believe that It did split in half and the captain was doing everything for fame

I like how every man back then wore the same clothing. They wore a tux and that is it. But something that caught my attention was in the begining the met up for dinner to share their ideas on what to make on which hit me. Didn't Mrs.Culps realitive meet up with his friends at dinner to make them stop arguing? Cause it struck me immediately and it made me think.

In the beginning, they say that Titanic was struck by an iceburg on April 15th, 1912. That also reminds I think that Mrs.Culp said in her realatives journal that the sinking of the Titanic was on April 10th 1912 but I am not 100% sure. Anyway that is besides the point. First the captain of the Titanic was in ahurry because he was kind of in a compatition with the other ships including the RMS Lusitania and the RMS Mauretania. It all started with J Bruce Ismay and William Pirrie decided to go to dinner to disscuss about the Titanic making. The sister of the Titanic the RMS Olympic was being built shortly before the start of the building for the Titanic. Once they were both able to move they went to finish it at a different location (don't know where it is) they sailed on the Atlantic Ocean while the strong propellers on the Titanic were pulling the Olympic towards the propellers. Once they were both finish Southampton (the Titanic wasn't completely finish yet including the electronic watertight doors which was many of the reasons of the sinking and all 16 made people think that it was unsinkable). After going to Cherbourg than Queenstown, Ireland to pick up over 2200 passengers they set off at sea to the Altlantic Ocean. The fact that there is a 32 feet by 19 feet pool which is actually 608 feet squared while being heated is insane for a pool on a moving ship! How did it also have a hospital built into it? After being hit by an ice burg at 2:20 the wireless people began sending destress signal and no one reply so the began putting life boat down but most people said that they would rather stay on a big boat that has just been struck by an iceburg than a small boat which was smaller but way safer. Not going on the life boats was a big mistake.

I think that the disaster couldn't have been avoided with the conditions the ship was in. If they had just put out the fire when the Titanic was still in Belfast, they could've stayed up in the water when the iceberg had struck, taking little damage, and surviving. To contrast the two videos: The "Bright Side" video discussed the many reasons the Titanic sank and killed all the people it did, while the "Encyclopedia Britannica" video was describing the titanic and and told the certain times and dates that the Titanic sank, as well as calling out the other ships in the area. One unfortunate event that lead to the ultimate demise of the White Star Line's largest ship was the oral conflict between the Californian and Carpathia. When the Californian's Marconi wireless operator was joking off with the Carpathia's operator, Carpathia responded, "SHUT UP SHUT UP I'M BUSY", and the Californian's operator proceeded to SHUT THE WIRELESS THINGY OFF AND GO TO BED!! If this hadn't happened, less of the Titanic's passengers would have survived, shoving away and escaping death itself. Californian would have gotten the S.O.S and the Q.C.D calls and saved Titanic's ship-riders. Another way you could save the passengers would have been people on the lifeboats going back to save people that fell to the water from the bow, starboard, or stern

Geez, it reAlly feels LikE it was just a whole entire series of unfortunate events set up right next to each other! I also think that one of the videos talked about mostly the ships and the whole idea of the titanic itself. On the other hand, the brightside video talked about how and what the problems were. My least favorite problem was that the white star lines was so selfish and spent so much time into the titanic, that they thought they could just cruise right into icy water, with just the PERFECT weather! I also think that the operator in the Marconi Room was just a little dumb to say "Shut up, Shut up, im busy", because if he hadnt said that, maybe just MAYBE the titanic wouldve had a chance at liberation.

I actually believe that there were many things simillAr, just one video had expLained more of some certain things than the other. Like the full speed thing in brightsidE, and the Bruce Ismay wanted to be a day early part in the other video! This was just ONE of the many eXamples that were very simillar as well.
