The article about "Snowflake Man" was a good read. William Bentley was fascinated about small objects as soon as he got his first microscope. He found out about the stunning beauty of snowflakes, and found a way to photograph them through the microscope. It took him a few years to figure this out, but eventually he did. He shared his pictures with the world, because he wanted to share the beauty of the snow crystals. Bentley made theories on how snow crystals were formed based on his photographs. He published dozens of articles, and even asked the Smithsonian curator if they wanted to showcase Bentley's work. The curator thought he was an amateur since he was a dairy farmer, but the secretary took interest in Bentley's work. Now William Bentley's pictures help us in many ways; from knowing how snow crystals form to realizing their beauty. What is amazing is that Bentley was only a dairy farmer, and yet he figured this out!
