I really like the photo of the climbers on the tree because it shows how tall the sequoia tree really is.

I also learned that the sequoia tree's scientific name is the sequoiadendron gigantium. I think that is pretty interesting because I never really heard of the sequoia that much and this piece of information really caught my attention on the topic.

The tallest giant sequoia is 316 feet the widest 31.4 bigest tree 642 tons i find it interesting. The bigest tree in Amaraka 27 in diameter 247 feet tall 3200 years old and 2 billon leaves

I think sequoia trees can be used for WAY more than fence posts, because in the book where Teddy and Muir were camping, Muir said that when he was done cutting down the giant tree, he told him that the tree's wood can only be used for fence posts. But wood can be used for houses, firewood, and many other things.

I like how the people listed sergeant trees, and not just types of trees. I also learned that General Sherman was the largest living organism when measured by volume. It is really cool they have a whole national park in California all to them selves and the wildlife. It's also cool how a tree in Spain has a whole city named after it. If I was a tree, that would be the biggest honor ever bestowed upon me.

i learned from the article is that California has lost half of it's large tree's since the 1930's i also learned that sequoia tree's have been living there for thousands of years and that's not all is also learned that a single tree can require up to 800 gallons of water a day
