The explanation for gravity is that matter bends space.

I can not believe that we are a tiny speck compared to that huge star. It is also amazing that our solar system is moving. What happens if there is more life out there?

this was so cool that the 2 balls were attracted to eachother

It seems as though our problems are so small....

This see this is so mind blowing.who knows what is happending are we rotating while moving or just rotating while we are not moving who knows. It was also so cool to see the balls attracting to the magnet looking object. This really showed me gravity and how it works.

I couldn't believe that there are figures in our universe that are so big. If you think about it, our planet is just a speck compared to the Red Hyper-giant. I was also surprised to learn that as big as the red hyper-giant is it is still only a dot in our galaxy.

The Gravity Visualized video was so cool. I learned that the planets in our solar system are moving the same way because anything going in the opposite way would be eliminated. I also learned that because of gravity, smaller objects are attracted to things with bigger mass. Bigger objects do move a little bit toward the small objects, but the pull is so small it barely counts. I also learned that in the mission that they sent men to the moon, the journey was kind of in a figure eight position because the Earth would pull the spaceship back. I learned that dark energy is something that separates objects. But I think the coolest thing overall is that even though there is something else in the middle bending space time, if you put two different sized marbles in the spandex/space, the smaller marble orbits the bigger one because the bigger one still bends space time no matter what.

Great question Tiffany - here is a video that helps explain it with a visual.

I learned that space time is sort of like three dimensional space turned into four dimensional space. We can only experience three dimensional things, but add time to three dimensional space and it becomes four- dimensional. Space time is three dimensional happenings stretched out so you can see them all at once.

i think its really cool how the two metal little balls where attracted to each other and could not resists each other

The universe is so vast and full of unknowns. Exploring it will be our never-ending effort.

The universe is cool I could do a project on it if we do independent projects

VY Canis Majoris is NOT the biggest star. It's 8th because it's diameter is only 1420 times the size of the Sun's diameter. UY Scuti's diameter is 1708 times the size of the Sun's diameter.

Wow this video on gravity with this man explaining what is happening is so interesting. Once I saw what was happening I was interested in it. The gravity is pulling the balls into the center of the tarp looking object.
