I love that humans made Atlas, and that she made big progress from where she started. She just started off jogging and jumping, but now Atlas can do a gymnastics trick a professional would perform. I am terrified at the idea of robots taking over the world, but if we make robots just under humans, than we can do so much more. I excited and nervous for the future of robots.

Scientists have programmed robots to do sports. There big robot is named Atlas.Atlas has a laser sensor and 3-D vision.Atlas can also run twenty miles in 1 hour. 3 years ago Atlas was recorded slowly walking through the snow. Its machine body didn't have the ease of movement. They changed that now. I now know not to give up because the people that made Atlas failed 8 out of 10 tries. This made me feel surprised because it is so cool how they did that.Atlas is 4 feet 9 inches. It also weighs 176 pounds.

The central idea of the text is, that robots are amazing technology and can do almost anything a human can do! like when the robot jumped over the log, or he was being trained by the robot trainers, they have a mind of there own! i think robots are amazing technology.

I think the main idea is to show the real growth of robotics. let me give an example in the story it says that a little bit ago it had the skills of a teenager. then it says that it has skills of a professional.then someone says it could be bad a says a comm-enter like the terminator an evil robot from the future.

The main idea of the story Robotic Gymnast was to inform us about Atlas the robot . I know this because it states it can jog , hop and jump over logs . That shows me the author is informing us what Atlas can do . Another example is the text states Atlas is 4.9 tall and weighs 176 pounds so if you think about it its telling us Atlases traits by its height and weight so its informing us its height and weight . In conclusion the anthers main idea is to inform us about Atlas the robot.

I think the central idea of this article is that this fabulous robot can do a whole lot of things very similar to professional athlete that has never been seen on a robot. for example "Atlas went from a middle schoolers athletic skills to a expert sportsman." "most of this robots actions are similar to a average person." This shows that atlas is a robot that can do much of the things a average person can do or more.

I am going to tell you about a robot that does gymnastics. I learned that the robots name is Atlas. Another thing I learned was that this robot went from a middle schooler's levels of gymnastics to an expert levels in just a couple months. I think this because in the text it says. " In just a few months, Atlas went from a middle schooler's athletic skills to the skills of an expert sportsperson." One last thing I learned about this robot is that this robot is 4 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 176 pounds. I think this because in the text it says,"Atlas is 4 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 176 pounds." This is what I learned about this gymnastics robot.

I think the main idea of the text is that robots are scary but also cool. One example from the text is " The news paper warned readers: if they thought they could run away from robots they can't anymore." This shows the reader that tec is getting better and better but this can be scary. Also the author said "Atlas went from a middle schoolers athletic skills to the skills of an expert sportsperson." This shows the reader that tec is amazing. In con I think the main idea is that robots are good and bad.

that's pretty cool how the owners of Atlas post videos on social media of Atlas doing new tricks! i think that this will be a technological advancement for science and robotics. i believe it will inspire others to design there own robot. Maybe someone will invent a garbage robot to help clean up waste. maybe a robot for the military, but you'll never know what might come next.

The company Boston Dynamics made a robot called, Atlas. Which can run, jump, and do things a person can do. They can open doors and go on ruff surface. That most people can not do. The video of the robot doing excises went viral on YouTube and people got excited about this robot. These are some reasons I know that people are learning more and robots. In conclusion, I know that robots are changing in front of are eyes every day :)

I think the main idea of this text is to inform you about the robots that Boston Dynamics create. One reason I say this is, because they talk about how popular the robots have be come. In the text it states that a video of a robot was posted and within a couple of hours the video had 1.5 million views. The second reason I say this is because they talk about how robots move like humans and even animals.

The main idea of the text is about a robot with amazing sporty skills. His skill level went from a middle school student's skill to a professional skill level. in the text, it said "In just a few months, Atlas went from a middle schooler's athletic skills to the skills of an expert sportsperson." Next, it said that the videos of the robot got nearly 1.5 million views. here is my text evidence "Within hours of being posted online, the latest Atlas video had racked up nearly 1.5 million views and thousands of comments, many of them suggesting the robot's newfound athleticism was evidence that humankind's reign over machines is nearing its expiration date." lastly, it talks about the creator witch is known for their robots. the final text evidence is "In recent years, Boston Dynamics has become known for two things: creating robots whose movements mimic humans and animals with a degree of accuracy that many find surprising, if not unnerving. And then, without warning, posting cryptic videos of those robots online, where they quickly go viral, capturing some mixture of excitement and terror about the rapid rise of autonomous machines."

this article was by far the best. It was the best because it is about a robot that can do gymnastic tricks. The main idea of the text is that there is a robot that can do gymnastic tricks and more. I know this because the article talks mostly about the robot and how it improved.

I think Atlas is a good idea. I think Atlas can be used for many purposes in the gym and out of the gym.

I think the main idea in this article is that Atlas's actions are very human-like and he can do actions that are beyond what average humans can do.

I was breath taken by all the things it could do like do gymnastics or just jump I think its cool that engineers can do this and program them to do this.

The main idea is that robots can get better. I think this because, in the text it says that at first Atlas a video showed him walking slowly in the snow, but now he can walk faster. Anther reason is because the text keeps mentioning that Atlas " is better now". That is why I think the main idea is that robots can improve.

.... To add on to my last comment, the company said they created the movements by using a new system that help simplifies how the robot learns. A computer calculation turns descriptions of each motion into a movement for the Atlas. The Atlas tracks the motions using a controller that smoothly blends together, but the robot trainers say the robot isn’t perfect. With this new system, the company said that they created the actions much faster and has had 8/10 successful attempts. A few hours after a video of Atlas was posted online, it had been viewed by about 1.5 million people. Many comments suggested that the robot’s new skills meant that humans’ power over machines will come to an end soon. I think that the Atlas is a very cool robot and most people can agree with that

It is amazing what people can do and how the work is changing in front of use. I guess in the future, either robots takeover or robots will be our best friend we will not know till the future. I hope robots don't take over. It will be a robot revolution. So I hope that tec. will keep changing and never stop because it will help us and our planet

wow! I thought that was so cool, it gave amazing facts and I couldn't believe the robot can do gymnastics tricks! I learned that robots (engineers) are really smart and they can program robots to do stunts, tricks, and supreme sports!

Have you ever wondered about evolution? Well, as humans have evolved from the Australopithecus to the Homo Habilis to the Homo Erectus and finally us Homo sapiens, robots can evolve too! The Atlas robot has evolved from just doing some minor tricks, or just moving around, to. really doing cooler and neater tricks! For example, the Atlas robot has entered the "realm of humans", it has "graduated from middle school" and has developed a terminator-like idea (except it isn't developed by sky-net and isn't trying to kill the whole human race), where it has developed routines and more!
