One thing I learned was that in India, families decorate banana or mango trees instead of a regular Christmas tree. They also place clay lamps on their roofs to celebrate the birth of Jesus. In Greece, they make a big feast after about a whole month of fasting, to get a closer relationship with God. They make a kind of bread, and carve it with their professions. Also, instead of decorating a regular Christmas tree, they have a bowl with with a piece of basil attached to a wire around the bowl, while the bowl has water in it. They sprinkle the water around the house to keep away bad spirits. In Egypt, they celebrate Christmas on January 7 instead of December 25, after 40 days of no meat, dairy, or poultry. On their Christmas, they have a big feast called 'Fata',a dinner with bread, rice, garlic, and boiled meat.

I didn't know much about christmas until i watched daddy home 2 with Will Ferrel, John Cena, and Mark Walberg. I learned what christmas is really about. Kwanza is very interesting because it was made less than 100 years ago. I never knew that for the seven nights of Kwanza, that it has a meaning. I knew most things that they mentioned for the chanukah video. Overall, i enjoyed all of the videos.

I think all of these holidays that these video talked about, were super interesting! I learned the most about Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, since I am Christian and celebrate Christmas. I think that it was so cool and unreal that a candle meant to burn for 1 day, burned for 3 whole days! Now that's a miracle if you ever did see one! I can also discover belief systems of people at that time, just by looking at the videos! Since the people immediately thought God was with them with the Hanukkah miracle, I now know that they must've believed in god, and in miracles happening. I also loved how each day in Kwanzaa, had a special thing to celebrate. Like for example, Day 2 is for self determination and Day 6, is for creativity. I love how the African Americans that celebrate this holiday, get to celebrate and take time for each important quality of a human. Overall, all of these holidays sound, and probably are super fun and amazing!

Between Greece, Egypt, and India, I would rather go to Egypt for Christmas because they have Christmas on December 7 instead of December 25, which I think is very cool. Also, before they celebrate Jesus's birthday, they have a whole 40 days of no poultry, dairy, or meat, which I would like to do, because I think the world kills to many animals. That is why I would like to visit Egypt for Christmas.
