I think young people should get on board because they could start something themselves. Something even better than this invention.

I think it was a good idea because most of the trash would actually be getting picked up.

I think the tube should be longer so it could gather more trash around the whole ocean.

Something I learned from the article is that this 2,000 foot long contraption will clean up 1.8 trillion pieces of plastic in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

The amount of trash weighs about 88,000 tons.

Something I saw in the video was a bunch of trash going onto the beach. I visualized that the whole beach would turn into a huge trash pile.

It is important for young people to get " on board " with this clean-up effort, because they are our future. They are the next generation. If say, a 50 year old man starts a genius project that takes a few decades to finish, if young people don't know about it, there will be no one to continue and finish it. Also, people are developing and getting smarter by the years. Scientists discover more information than ever before. The next generation, or people in the future, would have way more resources than us. That's important because, if a younger child knows about this problem, they will use the future resources and use them to benefit the human society. That is why it is important for young people to get " on board " with this clean-up effort.
