BLAST OFF!!! Making jokes isn't such a bad thing. Being a class clown can help you be an astronaught. The authors point of view for the newsla articles about cracking jokes in space is making a joke or being funny can help you for many reasons in space. One reason is Jeffrey Johson, who is a scientist of Universety of Florida said, "These roles are informal. They emerge within the group. But the interesting thing is that if you have the right combination, the group does very well. And if you don't, the group does very badly." Also rather than the cool personality that was prized in the Apollo-era astronauts of the 1960s and 1970s, future astronauts might need to prove they have something different. Being silly might be the most important qualification of all. Research shows that someone who is a comedian can unite teams in stressful situations.

The author's point of view for this article is it is a good Idea to bring comedians to the moon. I know this because in the text it says,"Rather than the cool personality that was prized in the Apollo-era astronauts of the 1960s and 1970s, future astronauts might need to prove they have something different. Being silly might be the most important qualification of all. Research shows that someone who is a comedian can unite teams in stressful situations." another piece of evidence is ," Jeffrey Johnson, a scientist at the University of Florida, said that there are people who have the ability to pull everyone together. He said that when you are living in a small space for a long period of time, such as on a mission to Mars, tensions are likely to be high. That makes it even more important to have someone who can help everyone get along to get there and back safely, he said."

I think in the article "cracking jokes on the first space flight to mars" the authors point of view is you need 6 different kinds of people on mars with you. In the story it says "He identified the importance of having different people – clowns, leaders, buddies, storytellers, peacemakers and counselors – for making teams work smoothly" I know that relates with the theme because it says all the kind of people need when you go to mars. The second thing they say is "researchers have found that the success of a mission to Mars – sometimes called the Red Planet – could depend on including a class clown" I know they both connect to the theme because they both talk about the people that need on space with you

This proves to me that going to Mars can be, well, terrifing! Having someone to laugh with on this crazy jorney can make it less spine chilling. Being an astronaut anyway is stressful, even having a partner while working, can make stress melt away!! Thats my opinion on the article, "Cracking jokes on the first space flight to mars,"

I know the main idea of the text is that we should have a clown when going to space because it repeatedly talks about how clowns could help relieve stress. I know this because in the text the story says," He knew that Lindstrøm's high spirits would relieve the stress of homesickness and the long polar nights." This proves that the comedian on board could help astronauts be less homesick. This helps a lot because not only is the comedian being funny but also it is helping for a good cause. Also, in the text it says," The comedian was important for building bridges between clusters of scientists and other groups." This proves that the comedian is helping groups of people be nice to each other and interact with each other. This is important so either it is helping them have something to do or just have a friendship. I know that the main idea is comedians can help connect people together,

Have you ever heard a space comedian? In the newslea article, it talks about how space can be scary so they need a comedian to cheer them up. I think the author's point of veiw is that if someone who is funny goes with the astronauts into space, the space men won't be as scared. I know this because the text says, "History has shown that space missions can be scary. Having someone on the crew who makes the others laugh can be important. The first mission to Mars might need someone funny." This shows me that space can be scary. I also know this because some astronauts die in space. In a movie Marsian, a man gets stranded on a planet. Would you like being standed on a planet without gravity, water, food, and other people? I also found a part in the article that says, " However, researchers have found that the success of a mission to Mars – sometimes called the Red Planet – could depend on including a class clown." This shows me that the expidition might not succed without someone to joke around with them. If there was going to be a comeidan on the space ship, they would need to be able to live in a space ship.

The authors point of veiw was that comedians will help on space travel. the text says,"His role was informal but critical for maintaining group cohesion in this extreme environment." this proves that the author believes that comedians are important to space travel.

Craking jokes on the first space flight is good because... Space trips can be scary. Having someone on the crew who makes everyone laugh can be important. The first trip to Mars might need someone funny. Scientists have studied it and they found that the success of a flight to Mars might depend on having a class clown. Jeffrey Johnson is a scientist at the University of Florida. "These are people that have the ability to pull everyone together," he said. Johnson spent four years studying crews in Antarctica. He saw that people who were clowns, leaders, buddies and others were important for teams. He found the same mixes worked for teams from the United States, Russia, China and other countries. A trip to Mars is not easy, however. The Red Planet is about 140 million miles from Earth. Sometimes the two planets are closer to each other. Sometimes they are farther apart, depending on their paths around the sun. Here is a joke who is the best singer on Mars Bruno Mars. that is some reasons why they need a clown on the trip to Mars.

The author's point of view was thAt the trip to mars was going to be so long, they needed some comic relief! I know this because the text states "It is enough to make Neil Armstrong spin in his grave, but researchers have found that the success of a future mission to the Red PLanet might depEnd on the ship having a class clown." Another eXample "'These are people that have the ability to pull everyone together, bridge gaps when tensions appear and really boost morale," said Jeffrey Johnson, an anthropologist at the University of Florida. "When you're living with others in a confined space for a long period of time, such as on a mission to Mars, tensions are likely to fray. It's vital you have somebody who can help everyone get along, so they can do their jobs and get there and back safely. It's mission critical.'" These are just 2 reaseons why the trip needs comic relief.

I think that the authors point of view is that the trip might need a "class" clown I think this because in the text it says "researchers have found that the success of a mission to mars could depend on a "class" clown" this proves that the authors point of view is that they might need a "class" clown on there trip because research has show this. The text also says that when you are living in a small space for a long period of time, such as on a mission to Mars, tensions are likely to be high. That makes it even more important to have someone who can help everyone get along to get there and back safely" this proves that again you need someone to help pull everyone together and be there to help with all of there tension with the trip. that is why i think that the authors point of view is that the trip might need a "class" clown.

In this article about possible comedians on board the first trip to mars, the author had a point of view. The author's point of view was that this was a crazy and possibly mind-blowing idea, but could still come with good benefits to the trip.

The author's point of view of this article is that when traveling to mars it is good to have a funny person come along. In the story it says that having a funny person come along, it can build teamwork. It can also releave stress. Gezz, if I was going to mars I would want a funny person or "class clowen" to come along with me to mars for all these reasons and more!

I think that the main point is that to be a successful mission to Mars, you need multiple character types like clowns. I think this because it says, "Johnson spent four years studying crews in Antarctica. He identified the importance of having different people – clowns, leaders, buddies, storytellers, peacemakers and counselors – for making teams work smoothly.", and, "These roles are informal. They emerge within the group. But the interesting thing is that if you have the right combination, the group does very well. And if you don't, the group does very badly,' he said."
