The Grasshopper is unprepared and doesn't prepare for the future and the ant works hard and prepares for the harsh times.

I learned that character traits are important to a story because the author gives each character traits that affect the conflict and the resolution. In the story "The Tortoise and the Hare", both the tortoise and the hare are dealing with the same problem, they have to win the race. The tortoise is clever so he does not rush himself. The hare is overconfident and thinks that even if he takes a nap he will still win. The outcome in the story is the Tortoise wins. The hare and the tortoises traits affected the outcome of the story because since the hare was too over confident he took a nap and let the clever tortoise win.

This is my character traits project. First, I think that character traits are important in stories because it helps the reader understand the character's thoughts and feelings and allows you to relate and connect with characters which makes you love them even more.
