To add/subtract fractions, you have to have common denominators.

Finding the common denominator really helps. 1/2+2/4 is 1/2+1/2= 1 whole.

Making a common denominator is so much easier now that I have watched this video. At first I was confused, but I watched this video two-three times and it is making perfect sense.

The first step is to find the least common denominator. Then, multiply the numerator by the same number as the denominator. Finally, add or subtract the numerators depending on the operation. That's how you add or subtract fractions.
